Look at grievance of Knitwear Club

Ludhiana, September 29, 2012: In a communication sent to the Ludhiaan Deputy Excise and Taxation Commissioner (DETC(, Ludhiana, Knitwear Club Ludhiana and general secretary Narinder Miglani have stated that the Club represents more than 12,000 small and medium knitwear/textile units and Ludhiana Cluster plays a major role in catering to the needs of hosiery industry.

They pointed out that the check post placed outside of the railway station by the department to check the bills and other formalities, many rickshaws and autos loaded with the goods stop over there to complete the formalities and it causes the traffic and becomes inconvenient to the public.

“At one hand, police is trying its level best to control the traffic and on other hand this check post has become hindrance in their way as there is always long queue of vehicles loaded with goods for making the entry and thus traffic jam is always there”, they pointed out.

They sought that check post be shifted at other suitable place to avoid the traffic and inconvenience to the public.
