Mumbai, September 12, 2024: Sony SAB's ‘Shrimad Ramayan' narrates the story of Lord Ram (Sujay Reu) and Sita (Prachi Bansal). In the recent episodes, viewers witnessed how Shahatramukh Ravan (Praneet Bhat) created doubts in the minds of Ayodhyawasis about Sita’s impurity on her return from Lanka.

In the upcoming episodes, viewers will witness Sita and Lord Ram finding out about Sita’s pregnancy, however, they get worried seeing the negativity surrounding Sita’s character. The divine couple mutually take the tough decision that Sita will go and live at Lord Valmiki’s ashram. Both Lord Ram and Sita agree that a sattvic environment is essential for their children’s upbringing, and together they make this decision to part ways and raise their children separately.

Sujay Reu, who plays the role of Ram in Shrimad Ramayan, said, "It is painful to see that Sita was accused of not being loyal and moral because she was held captive by Raavan, even though she was pure. The outcome of this was that Lord Ram and Sita mutually part ways. This is a unique perspective that we don’t often hear."

Prachi Bansal, who plays the role of Sita in Shrimad Ramayan, said, “For me shooting this scene was very emotional. Despite Sita’s purity and strength, society was quick to accuse her. It’s heartbreaking to see how easily a woman’s character can be questioned, even when she has done nothing wrong.”
