Lord Vishnu in Swarna Swar Bharat, Vishal Karwal says, "Deity role sparks my interest in acting"
Zee TV recently premiered a first-of-its-kind, devotional singing reality show - Swarna Swar Bharat. A humble contribution to the Honorable Prime Minister’s noble initiative of ‘Azaadi ka Amrit Mahotsav - the 75th anniversary of Indian Independence,’ the show endeavors to celebrate our rich cultural heritage. In fact, viewers have been having a gala time as the show takes them back to their roots through a unique blend of insightful and relatable stories narrated through some wonderful verses and soulful devotional music.
While some of the incredible contestants have already impressed the audience, Vishal Karwal is bound to leave everyone speechless this weekend. After all, the actor will be seen in the divine avatar of Lord Vishnu for the upcoming episode. As a part of this Swarna Swar Bharat's special episode, makers will use storytelling and devotional music to celebrate Indian culture, and traditions. Vishal in his avatar as Lord Vishnu along with the host Ravi Kishan in the avatar of 'Narad Muni' will share a few words of wisdom pretending as the Indian gods.
Speaking about the role of Lord Vishnu, Vishal Karwal said, “I have portrayed Lord Vishnu several times and now I play the mythological avatar in Swarna Swar Bharat. Such roles surely spark my interest in acting. In my experience, a lot of actors don't want to play mythological characters because playing the role of a deity is far more challenging than portraying a regular character. In fact, the experience of playing this role is unique. I feel privileged that I am always considered for the role of Lord Vishnu in mythological shows.”
He further added, “Playing regular characters allows me a little freedom, but such roles are associated with a predetermined belief, responsibility and the folklore around a Godly character. When I was offered this opportunity to be a part of a show centered around the devotional genre, I immediately jumped at the chance. My role is to share knowledge and anecdotes from ancient Indian scriptures to make Swarna Swar Bharat an exceptional audio-visual experience that celebrates our rich Indian culture. It's a real honour to be able to shoot in Lord Vishnu's avatar, and I hope the upcoming episodes will be enjoyed by everyone.”
While Vishal Karwal's portrayal of Lord Vishnu will certainly enlighten and entertain you, wait until you see all the amazing performances by the contestants on the show.
