Lovely Professional University welcomed Australian Students for Cultural Exchange Program
The Division of International Affairs at Lovely Professional University (LPU) recently hosted 12 students and faculty from Australia's Curtin University as part of the popular 'Incredible India' program. Over the course of two weeks, the participants had the opportunity to immerse themselves in India's diverse cultural heritage, and gained a comprehensive understanding of India.
Jalandhar, December 4, 2023: The Division of International Affairs at Lovely Professional University (LPU) recently hosted 12 students and faculty from Australia's Curtin University as part of the popular 'Incredible India' program. Over the course of two weeks, the participants had the opportunity to immerse themselves in India's diverse cultural heritage, and gained a comprehensive understanding of India.
The 'Incredible India' program offered at LPU aims to promote internationalization and provide foreign students with a profound learning experience in Indian culture, heritage, management, and technology. The program has garnered significant popularity among students from various countries, including Australia, Canada, the USA, and the UK, making LPU one of the few Indian universities that actively host students from these nations.
During the program, the Australian participants were introduced to various progressive concepts in India, including fashion, cooking, dances, social fabric, Yoga, meditation, vegetarianism, basic Hindi language, history, unique business trends, technology, management, and the art of “Juggad (Make shifter)” business. Additionally, the students had the opportunity to visit historically significant places such as the Golden Temple, the Taj Mahal, the Tibetan Temple, and other cultural heritage sites.
According to the LPUs Vice President, & Head of the Division of International Affairs Dr Aman Mittal, "We strive to ensure that our international learners have a memorable and balanced two-week camp that offers insights into both ancient and modern India. The program is designed to foster the internationalization of education and culture by providing diverse experiences."
LPU takes pride in being India's most internationalized campus, with students from over 40 countries enrolled in more than 150 programs. The university actively participates in student exchange programs with prestigious institutions from around the world, including Australia, Canada, the USA, and the UK. This not only enriches the academic experience of students but also promotes cultural exchange and global understanding.
