Jalandhar, September 26, 2024: To inspire and guide students, LPU hosted Agrifluence with incredible panelists. It is India’s first agricultural influencer’s summit in the Higher Education Institution. The summit emphasised the pivotal role of experiential understanding in addressing the challenges faced by crops and farmers.

At Agrifluence, top agriculture content creator personalities such as Lakshay Dabas (Organic Acre), Davendra Patel (Agricultural Career), Rajender Reddy (Rythu Badi), Pargat Singh (Crops Information), Ram Parmar (Farmer Choice), Sangram Nayak (Thalir), Alen Joseph (Agrotil), and Sunidhi Singh (Miss Agriculture) presented in the summit.
Pro Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Lovi Raj Gupta, and the Dean of the School of Agriculture, Dr. Ramesh Sadawarti, extended a warm welcome to all distinguished guests. The content creators visited the field and laboratory within the agricultural school and shared valuable insights and knowledge derived from diverse research endeavours.
During panel discussions, emphasis was placed on the significance of students venturing into agribusiness, particularly through hands-on farming experiences. The discussion underscored the importance of direct marketing to enhance profit margins for farmers, highlighting the role of processors in the agricultural value chain.
Attendees were encouraged to adapt to evolving market demands and leverage innovative marketing strategies, especially lessons learnt from the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. The imperative of understanding market dynamics, soil requirements, and conducting experiments tailored to specific environmental conditions was emphasised.
Furthermore, the necessity of seeking expert advice before disseminating agricultural content on social media platforms was stressed, emphasising the complex and context-specific nature of agricultural challenges. The speakers reiterated that true comprehension of crop and farmer issues necessitates firsthand experience in agricultural practices.
Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and Founder Chancellor of LPU’s Dr. Ashok Kumar Mittal described the summit as a transformative experience for students, offering invaluable insights into the future of agriculture and serving as a wellspring of inspiration for aspiring agriculturists. Dr. Mittal underscored the importance of innovation and differentiation in agriculture to achieve recognition and success in the field.
