Jalandhar: Lovely Professional University (LPU) has brought laurels to the country as it was ranked among the ‘Top 200 universities in the World’ in The Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2021. The University achieved the pole position among Indian universities when it comes to its focus on ‘Affordable and Clean Energy’. The parameter measures universities’ research related to energy, their energy use and policies, and their commitment to promoting energy efficiency in the wider community. LPU is ranked 2nd in India (59th globally) in the ‘Decent Work and Economic Growth’ category, a parameter that measures universities’ economics research, their employment practices and the share of its students getting placements. LPU has also been ranked 1st in India on the parameter, ‘Partnership for the Goals’. The parameter looks at the broader ways in which universities support the SDGs through collaboration with other countries, promotion of best practices and publication of data.
