LPU honours 165 Teachers & Researchers for their illustrious dedication to duties
Lovely Professional University (LPU) celebrated its 18th Foundation Day and National Teachers’ Day by bestowing honours upon its 165 selfless and illustrious teachers, researchers, and administrators for their exemplary services rendered towards the growth of students.

Addressing all the faculty & staff members, LPU’s Founder Chancellor & MP Rajya Sabha, Dr Ashok Kumar Mittal shared: “Teachers are true custodians of education in the world. They are fortunate enough as they are assigned the great task of shaping the lives of others.” Informing about the present strength of 75,000 quality students at LPU, Dr Mittal described it as an added responsibility with more challenges. Here, he also talked about the highest Grade A++ and top ranks bestowed upon the university, which expects the best deliveries from them to maintain the individualized identity. Dr Mittal invoked all to stay in accordance with the fast changing world.
On this occasion, LPU Pro Chancellor Rashmi Mittal, Director General Er HR Singla, Vice Pro Chancellors Dr Lovi Raj Gupta & Dr Sanjay Modi and Registrar Dr Monica Gulati accompanied Hon’ble Chancellor. Cash awards of more than two crore were bestowed on the teachers.
‘Teachers Day’ is celebrated every year on 5th September to acknowledge the dedicated contribution of teachers in the society. The day marks the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, India’s first Vice-President and second President.
Teaching is one of the most significant professions that teaches persons of all other professions. It imparts education and shapes the budding learner to build a career and achieve milestones in life. So, the day is commemorated to express gratitude, respect, and love for the teachers. To entertain teachers, the students’ wing presented a cultural programme. Adding to the lustre, comedy world sensation, Ashish Solanki was also specially invited to entertain the university teachers on their special day.
