Lovely Professional University (LPU) today issued a clarification regarding the 6 kanals 19 marla land at the village Hardaspur in which its name has been “wrongly dragged without any verification and checking”.
Jalandhar, August 1, 2022: Lovely Professional University (LPU) today issued a clarification regarding the 6 kanals 19 marla land at the village Hardaspur in which its name has been “wrongly dragged without any verification and checking”.
Clarification issued by LPU reads as under:
“This is to state that the land that has been referred is not under the possession of Lovely Professional University (LPU) ever. The land belongs to the Gurudwara Singh Sabha (Hardaspur) since 1933 as per the land records and is in the possession of Gurudwara Singh Sabha (Hardaspur) only.
The clarification that the land belongs to the Gurudwara Singh Sabha (Hardaspur) has been made by the Gram Panchayat of the Village Hardaspur via their letter dated 9th May 2022 to the Block Development and Panchayat Officer (BDPO ) as well. In the letter, it has been clearly mentioned that the land belongs to Gurudwara Singh Sabha (Hardaspur) and is in their possession since 1933 as per the land records. They have also clarified in the letter that Village Hardaspur Gram Panchayat has no rights on said land.
Even the clarification has been given by Gurudwara Prabhandak Committee Village Hardaspur today to concerned government authorities mentioning that the said land belongs to the Gurudwara Singh Sabha and is in their possession. In the clarification issued by the Gurudwara Prabhandak Committee , they have also referred to the 9th May 2022 letter sent to Block Development and Panchayat Officer (BDPO) by Gram Panchayat Village Hardaspur. They have further mentioned in the clarification that the land belongs to Gurudwara Sigh Sabha since 1933 and Hardaspur Village Gram Panchayat has nothing to do with this. They have also clarified that Lovely Professional University (LPU) has also nothing to do with this land and the land is in the possession of Gurudwara Prabhandak Committee Singh Sabha only. (Clarification issued by the Gurudwara Prabhandak Committee Singh Sabha attached)
Further, if we look at the letter it also clearly shows Gurudwara Sahib Ji has even given the said land for cultivation to Mr Ravinder Singh and a receipt of Rs 26,000/- dated 23rd June 2002 has also been issued to Mr Ravinder (copy of the receipt is attached). Even Mr Ravinder in his letter clarified that the said land is given to him by the Gurudwara Sahib ji for the cultivation purpose.
It is very strange that when the Village Hardaspur Gram Panchayat itself sent the letter to the BDPO in May 2022 clarifying that the above land belongs to Gurudwara Singh Sabha Hardaspur since 1933 and it does not belong to Village Gram Panchayat in any manner then why the name of Lovely Professional University, which has nothing to do with this land, has been dragged. Further, the wrong reporting done by a leading newspaper of the region when all the said information was provided to them with proof is a very serious concern. This is an attempt to tarnish the name of Lovely Professional University (LPU) for the reason best known to them.”
