LPU Medical Lab Workshop Attracts over 1200 Lab Practitioners from Across Punjab

Lovely Professional University witnessed a remarkable gathering of 1200+ medical lab practitioners from across Punjab, who came together for Beyond The Bench: Workshop on Transforming Excellence in Medical Lab Technology. The event, jointly organized by the Joint Association of Independent Medical Lab and Allied Professionals (JAIMILAP) and LPU's Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences aimed to provide a platform for knowledge exchange and professional development.

Jalandhar: Lovely Professional University witnessed a remarkable gathering of 1200+ medical lab practitioners from across Punjab, who came together for Beyond The Bench: Workshop on Transforming Excellence in Medical Lab Technology. The event, jointly organized by the Joint Association of Independent Medical Lab and Allied Professionals (JAIMILAP) and LPU's Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences aimed to provide a platform for knowledge exchange and professional development.

The program was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Cabinet Minister Aman Arora in the Punjab government. He expressed his commitment to good governance and lauded the medical laboratory practitioners for their invaluable service to society. He also acknowledged the pivotal role played by JAIMILAP's State President, Jagdeep S Bhardwaj, and National General Secretary, Rajan Bector, in providing socially responsible leadership within the medical lab profession. Aman Arora also commended Lovely Professional University for its promotion of diversity, inclusivity, and its contributions to higher education and employment opportunities.

Dr. Sanjay Modi, Pro Vice Chancellor, and Dr. Monica Gulati, Registrar of Lovely Professional University, graced the occasion and inspired participants to pursue continuous measures for quality improvement. They emphasized the importance of professional development and advised the Human Resource Development Center, led by Dr. Sunaina Ahuja, Professor and Dean, and Sarabjit Singh Kwatra, Deputy Dean, to organize more such programs to enhance the capacity of practicing professionals. Their encouraging words motivated attendees to strive for excellence in their respective roles and contribute to advancing the field of medical lab technology.

During the training session resource person Dr. Naresh Kumar, Rupal Dubey, Dr. Sumanpreet Kaur and Dr. Sukhdeep Kumar enlightened the information on the different topics and shared the advanced knowledge about the instruments to the attended.

A major highlight of the program was the book launch Ceremony, where faculty members from LPU's School of Allied Medical Sciences released their latest works. Dr. Gursharan Singh's edited volume titled "Value Added Products from Bioalgae Based Biorefineries: Opportunities and Challenges," published by Springer publishers launched. Additionally, four e-books launched, including "Textbook in Embryology" (Nova Science USA), "Cutting-Edge Applications of Nanomaterial’s in Biomedical Sciences" (IGI-Global), "Biomedical Research Developments for Improved Healthcare" (IGI-Global), and "Reshaping Healthcare with Cutting-Edge Biomedical Advancements" (IGI-Global). These publications, edited by Dr. Pranav Kumar Prabhakar, Dr. Sandeep Sharma, and Dr. Manish Vyas, with contributions from Dr. Sumanpreet Kaur, Dr. Sandeep Kaur,. Amandeep Kaur, and Dr. Payal.
