LPU ranked amongst top 25 institutions in India in Architecture, Law and Pharmacy in NIRF 2021 ranking
LPU NIRF Ranking climbs to ‘62’ amongst all universities in India
Jalandhar, September 10, 2021: HRD Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan announced the NIRF India Rankings 2021 today. As per the rankings, Lovely Professional University continues to feature among the prestigious NIRF List of Top 100 educational institutions in India overall, across all government and private colleges and universities. In a major feat, the University’s Architecture, Law and Pharmacy schools have been ranked amongst the Top 25 in the countryfor the first time. Amongst universities both government and private, LPU has strengthened its ranking to 62 this year from 87 in 2020.
The University’s Management and Engineering schools have also received a much higher ranking this year with the Mittal School of Business having been ranked 37 in the country while the Engineering faculty being ranked 66.
Ashok Mittal, Chancellor, Lovely Professional University said,“NIRF are the defining rankings of educational institutes in the country, and we are proud to have our Architecture, Pharmacy and Law Schools feature amongst the Top 25 in the country. Some of our other schools have also done very well, includingthe Mittal School of Business, which has featured 37th among all the Management schools in the country including the IIMs and Engineering Faculty which is ahead of many of the IITs and NITs. An almost 20% jump in our ranking is proof that we are headed in the right direction.”
Initiated by MHRD, the NIRF annual rankings were launched in September 2015. LPU has been ranked ahead of some of the well-known engineering institutes like IIT Mandi, IIITPrayagraj, NIT Silchar, Bharathidasan UniversityTiruchirappalli, Birla Institute of Technology Ranchi and many others. The ranking framework uses several parameters for its ranking like Teaching, Learning, and Resources (TLR), Research and Professional Practices (RP), Graduation Outcomes (GO), Outreach and Inclusivity (OI) and Perception (PR). Institutions across the country are divided in nine different categories.
