LPU skilled Indian Oil Dealers to be Future Ready

Jalandhar, June 16, 2017: Lovely Professional University (LPU) organized a two-day training programme for Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) dealers at LPU campus, where senior faculty members of LPU skilled them to be future ready. More than 30 owners of the ‘Petrol Pumps’ dealing with IOC participated in different sessions of the specially conducted workshop. Faculty members of LPU guided dealers to be customer centric by adopting latest management, technology & automation skills in their varied distribution and dispensing systems.

During the workshop, topics including usage of updated electronic machines, automation, self development, customer relationship management, effective marketing, transactional analysis, profitability, effective accounting, brand management, strategy, health & wellness and effective leadership were discussed during instructive and interactive sessions. Following aftermath of PM Modi’s demonetization step and regular appeals for make India programmes, all the participants were also invoked to follow the government policies of development and growth as declared time to time.

In a message, LPU Chancellor Mr Ashok Mittal thanked IOC authorities for believing in instructive strength of LPU. Mr Mittal also assured IOC officers and elite IOC dealers of Punjab for further co-ordination and co-operation as needed from the university. DGM (Retail Sales) IOC Jalandhar Division Office Kamal Kunj, Sr Managers Roopendra Jaiswal and Mohammad Iqbal Siddique, Manager Rahul Jain and Deputy Manager Vikash Kumar appreciated the efforts made for the instructive initiative at LPU. They also interacted with the dealers and invited suggestions for more such organizations at LPU.

Based on different sessions, the workshop was opened with inaugural session ‘Safarnama’ which was followed by sessions about Customer-Centric approach ‘I am IOC’, Grooming & Etiquettes, Team Building and more. Participants were involved in various activities held under role-plays. During the concluding sessions, certificates of participation were awarded to all of the dealers. Prominent IOC dealers in the area Jaspal Singh Shoker, Sudarshan Singh Tuli and Abhilaksh Murria revealed satisfaction and happiness at the successful conduction of the workshop.
