LPU’s Agriculture student nominated for Government of India’s First-ever National Creators Award
Lovely Professional University’s (LPU’s) BSc Hons Agriculture student, Sunidhi Singh was nominated for Government of India’s First-ever National Creators Award. Included among many thousands from across the country, Sunidhi was declared one of the top ten ‘Best Micro Creators’ during the national award ceremony held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi graced the prestigious award ceremony.
Jalandhar, March 14, 2024: Lovely Professional University’s (LPU’s) BSc Hons Agriculture student, Sunidhi Singh was nominated for Government of India’s First-ever National Creators Award. Included among many thousands from across the country, Sunidhi was declared one of the top ten ‘Best Micro Creators’ during the national award ceremony held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi graced the prestigious award ceremony.
Underlining the country’s responsibility to walk side by side with the advent of a new era, PM Modi presented ‘National Creator Awards’. Nearly 2 lakh creators of the country had registered for the awards under 20 categories. PM Modi also highlighted the event as honour to Indian youth who are driving this new era, celebrating creativity, and acknowledging the impact creators have on society.
One among the twenty; the category of the ‘Best Micro Creators’ celebrated micro-creators “who have got a significant impact within their niche or community, despite a smaller audience”. MP Rajya Sabha & LPU’s Founder Chancellor Dr Ashok Kumar Mittal congratulated the prestigious nomination winning student and her mentors at the LPU for the illustrious achievement in the co-curricular field. Dr Mittal also advised all other students to be a great part of the fast changing era.
Sunidhi through her social media venture, @miss.agriculture, is regularly bridging the gap between academia and agricultural fields by educating her audience about modern-day farming in a creative way. Hailing from Chamba in Himachal Pradesh, she has always devoted herself to both the theoretical and practical aspects of the research based studies at LPU, and endeavouring to revolutionize the diverse agricultural fields.
India’s first ICAR accredited private university by the Ministry of Agriculture; LPU’s School of Agriculture is also ranked among top institutions by prestigious ranking agencies. It includes disciplines like Agronomy, Horticulture, Genetics, Plant Breeding and more for providing education with novel technologies and innovative approaches.
