LSCL Director Ar Sanjay Goel reacts to 8th anniversary of smart city mission
Expressing his views on 8th anniversary of Smart City Mission today, Ludhiana Smart City Ltd (LSCL) Director Ar Sanjay Goel has said improvements and developments in cities, towns and even villages will go on as it’s not an easy task to achieve full smartness as government working is not only slow but lack of coordination in between various departments is also less.

Ludhiana, June 25, 2023: Expressing his views on 8th anniversary of Smart City Mission today, Ludhiana Smart City Ltd (LSCL) Director Ar Sanjay Goel has said improvements and developments in cities, towns and even villages will go on as it’s not an easy task to achieve full smartness as government working is not only slow but lack of coordination in between various departments is also less.
He opined that political interference specially in town/urban planning should not be there at all for best development of cities for hundreds of years.
Further, he said, “Public participation is very important in smart city mission and cities must be in touch with central government through state govt.”
He said Ludhiana is governed by third different state government in just less than eight years and this is also a reason for slow/delayed working of projects.
He suggested that Centre Government must be more, strict to implement smart city mission projects.
