Ludhiana, September 16, 2012: Host Ludhiana crushed Hoshiarpur 4-0 in Punjab Women Hockey League above 15 years age group in progress at Sardar Prithipal Singh Memorial Hockey Stadium, Punjab Agriculture University, here today.
In second match Host also defeated Sangrur by goal margin of 3-0. The weekend league was started from September 8th, 2012.
In another matches Amritsar outplayed Gurdaspur 6-0, Muktsar defeated Mansa 5-0 and Bathinda beat Tarn Taran by 2-1 goals.
In Under – 15 Group Amritsar outclassed Fatehgarh Sahib 4-1, Ferozepur defeated Patiala 1-0, Bathinda left behind Gurdaspur by 1-0 where as Mukatsar defeated Mansa by 3-1 goals.
Punjab Sports Department is providing travelling allowance and daily allowance to all the participants and providing boarding facilities if needed to promote sports amongst women’s of the state as stated by Kartar Singh Sehamby, District Sports Officer, Ludhiana.
