Ludhiana, August 14, 2023: In a major boost to healthcare infrastructure, as many as 24 new Aam Aadmi Clinics have been dedicated in the third phase in Ludhiana District on Monday.

With Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann virtually dedicating this project, MLA Ashok Parashar Pappi and Deputy Commissioner Surabhi Malik inaugurated the newly built Aam Aadmi Clinic at Kila Mohalla. Terming it a game-changer project with respect to boosting healthcare infrastructure, the MLA and the DC said that these clinics will further strengthen the existing clinics as the total strength of Aam Aadmi Aadmi Clinics has reached 75 in the district. They further mentioned that during phase-I a total of nine clinics were opened in Ludhiana while 42 new clinics were dedicated during phase-II, adding that now under phase-III as many as many 24 new clinics have been dedicated today.
 
They further stated that these clinics were providing around 38 diagnostic lab tests to patients that too free-of-cost while nearly 80 different types of medicines were also being provided to visitors. They added that with the inception of Aam Aadmi Clinics, people were getting free-of-cost healthcare services at doorsteps as Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann-led state government has constantly augmented the strength of these clinics.

Pointing out further, MLA Ashok Parashar Pappi said that this clinic in Kila Mohalla would prove to be a boon for people living in this locality as it would cater to the healthcare needs of the entire population of this area with facilities like free-of-cost OPD, lab testing, and medicines. Meanwhile, residents also welcomed the move saying that it would ensure health services to their doorsteps.
 
MLAs dedicated new clinics in their respective assembly constituency as proper arrangements for the live-streaming of state-level inaugural event were made by the administration. MLA South Assembly Constituency Rajinderpal Kaur Chhina dedicated Aam Aadmi Clinics situated at Shimlapuri, Giaspura, Sherpur, and Ward Number 22 while MLA Ludhiana West Gurpreet Gogi Bassi inaugurated clinics at Vikas Nagar, Haibowal Khurd, Barewal, ward no 80 Haibowal Khurd, and Rishi Nagar. Likewise, MLA Atam Nagar Kulwant Singh Sidhu kick-started clinics at New Shimlapuri, Dugri, Municipal Corporation Office, near Durga Mata Mandir, MLA East Daljit Singh Grewal inaugurated clinics at New Bajra Road, New Shastri Nagar, Star Colony near Tibba Police Station, MLA North Madan Lal Bagga dedicated clinics at Haibowal, Chowni Mohalla, Tanki Wala Park near Shiv Puri, Community Centre, Kundanpuri, and Grain Market Ludhiana. In Sahnewal and in Gill constituency Aam Aadmi Clinics were inaugurated at Dhandari Khurd, and Khattra Chuhram respectively.

During the inauguration, the MLAs mentioned that the Aam Aadmi Clinics have already proved to be a benchmark in imparting quality health services to people by serving over 5.5 lakh people in the district so far. Equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure, the clinics provide free treatment and diagnostic facilities to the people, they added.
 
Prominent among others present on the occasion included Civil Surgeon Dr. Hatinder Kaur, District Immunization Officer Dr. Manisha Khanna, Deputy Medical Commissioner Dr. Ramandeep Kaur, District Family Welfare Officer Dr. Harpreet Singh, besides several others.
