Ludhiana Industry meet senior police officials, share issues

Ludhiana, August 23, 2022: Upkar Singh Ahuja, President, CICU (Chamber of Industrial and Commercial Undertakings) suggested the police officials that awareness session on women safety and cybercrime prevention camps should be started at CICU. He also highlighted the industrial issues like increase in night patrolling mostly from 10 PM to 5 AM to ensure the security of industrial workers. He also requested the Police department to issue a letter to MCL for arranging proper street light in Focal Point Areas.
 
Pankaj Sharma highlighted the issues like bad and affected traffic lights, wrong parking of three wheelers, trucks and big trolleys, labour vehras are hubs of unlawful activities, police should start issuing ID cards or tenant verification, more security to be up on payment and advance days, scrap dealers to be identified and other industrial issues were discussed.
 
J.S Bhogal, Organising Secretary, CICU mentioned that police should identify the areas where incidents of theft are increasing and patrolling in these areas should be increased.
 
Tushar Gupta, ADCP Ludhiana assured that all the issues will be taken up on priority and awareness session will be also organised in CICU by deputing some expert Police officials in regard of women safety and cybercrime prevention. He also assured that a letter to MCL from the department will be issued soon to maintain street light in focal point area. He also highlighted that we are working on Pilot project to curve the theft & robbery events in Focal Point Area.
 
Murad Jasvir Singh Gill, ACP, Industrial Area, Ludhiana along with Kulwant Singh, SHO Focal Point also present in this meeting and assured the safety of industrial workers.
 
The meeting was attended by more than 50 members some namely S.S Ahuja, Amajit Singh Swan, Akashdeep Bassi, Naveen Verma, G.S Sandhu, Naresh Bansal, Viney Kumar, Manu Kumar, Harsimran Singh, Ravinder Saini, Rajeev Sharma and other prominent member of CICU were present. Jorawar Singh Mundian, Chairman, Bhulewal Sugar Mills was also present in this meeting.
