Ludhiana To Make Online Directory & Website Of NGOs & People Working For Social Causes

Ludhiana, July 22, 2016: For making the approach of organisations involved in social service, NGOs, industry, individuals towards people, an online directory and website is being developed. When the online directory and website is being developed, the people would just have to click on the website and they would be able to contact the organisation working in a particular field directly.
While giving information, Deputy Commissioner Mr Ravi Bhagat said that majority of the work related to the online directory has already been completed and details related to NGOs, prominent people and organisations have been fed in it. Mr Maneet Dewan, President of I am a NGO Trust, is supervising the entire work. Once the directory is complete, a website would be developed and it would include details such as which organisation is working in which sector, and any person can get himself registered free of cost.
This website will also list various Government Agencies engaged in social service like Drugs Rehabilitation Centers, Dispensaries, Anganwaris, Shelter Homes, Pingalwaras, Old Age Homes, Skill Centers etc that would actually enhance the utilization of all the above resources. Mr Ravi Bhagat said that many individuals and business houses approach the District Administration to extend their help in various activities and now this website will be a very good platform to connect them to the most appropriate NGO’s or establishments.
The monitoring of this website would be done by ADC (G) Mr Rishi Pal Singh. The citizens can visit the website to find out the nearest establishment based on the contribution they want to make which can be donations, food, blood, organs, old clothes, old books, furniture, woolens etc.
Joining the website is free of cost and registrations can be done at www.iamango.org where members can post their profiles, photos, videos, articles, events, activities, requirements etc. For people who are not very technology savvy, www.iamango.org has also provided a telephone helpline service (0161-5063805) that operates from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm all days where they can take guidance from their counselor.
