Ludhiana Management Association (LMA) members sensitised about taking care of their hearts

DMCH Ludhiana doctor enlightens audience regarding reasons/symptoms, impact and treatment to be pursued if in event of cardiac attack

Ludhiana, July 13, 2019: A highly informative and knowledge enrichment seminar was organized by Women forum of Ludhiana Management Association (LMA) at Park Plaza Hotel on the topic of "Cardiac health awareness for Women.”

The objecitve of this seminar was to sensitise the members about taking care of their hearts as a healthy heart enables an individual to lead an active life and wholesome life.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr.Shibba Takkar, Associate Professor, Cardiology at DMCH, Ludhiana, enlightened the audience regarding reasons/ symptoms, impact and treatment to be pursued if in the event of a cardiac attack.

Dr Takkar also educated the members about the need for an immediate response to the symptoms of a cardiac attack, as the alacrity of response not only saves a life, but also prevents long term damage to heart and other body organs.

She also advised the members to alter their lifestyles, as a physically active life, healthy diet and stress free life, lower the risk of coronary heart disease.

She also advised the members to play a pivotal role in spreading awareness about cardiac care not only in their families, but also amongst their domestic help, their employees and business associates.

The chairperson of the women forum Dr.Vandna Shahi expressed her gratitude to Dr. Shibba Thakkar.

Dr Shahi hoped that LMA Members would not only take care of their own hearts but also their families, as women play a pivotal role in influencing the dietary and also lifestyle decisions of their children and their spouses.
