LUDHIANA MC TO NOT ISSUE TEMPORARY COMPOSITION FEE SLIP DURING FESTIVAL SEASON

THIS DECISION TAKEN TO CHECK TRAFFIC CONGESTION ON CITY ROADS Ludhiana, October 18, 2018: In view to check traffic congestion on the city roads during the festival season, the Municipal Corporation Ludhiana has decided not to issue temporary composition fee slip to the shopkeepers as well as rehri/farhi owners this time. While providing information, Ludhiana MC Commissioner Mrs Kanwalpreet Kaur Brar informed that earlier, the civic body used to issue temporary composition fee slip to the shopkeepers as well as rehri/farhi owners during the festival season (Dussehra, Diwali and Karwa Chauth). She said that when this slip was issued, the shopkeepers and rehri/farhi owners were able to sell their products by showcasing them outside their premises/specified area. Mrs Brar has appealed to the shopkeepers and rehri/farhi owners to understand their duty as responsible citizens and keep their products within their premises so that the city residents do not suffer traffic jams. She said that any violation would be strictly dealt with and strict legal action would be taken against them.
