Ludhiana to meet Mukatsar Sahib in semi finals of Punjab Women Hockey League

Ludhiana, September 23, 2012: Ludhiana will meet Mukatsar Sahib in the semi finals (above – 15) of Punjab Women Hockey League in progress at Sardar Prithipal Singh Memorial Hockey Stadium, Punjab Agriculture University on September 30th 2012 whereas in another semi-finals Amritsar shall fight with Patiala.

Final match and the closing ceremony shall take place in the evening at 4 pm.

In the age group of under – 15 first semi final will be played between Bathinda and Amritsar and Ferozepur shall take on Mukatsar Sahib on September 29 morning.

Finals will also be played on the same day in the evening.
The first match was played between Amritsar and Jalandhar under – 15 age group in which Amritsar defeated Jalandhar by 2-1 goals. Gurpreet Kaur of Amritsar scored a field goal in 16th minute of the match which was equaled by Jalandhar in counter attack but in the second half of the match. Amritsar got a golden chance by getting a penalty stroke where Paramjit Kaur did no mistake and won the match. Ferozepur defeated Barnala by 3-2 in tie breakers as both teams played equal in the given time and both failed to score.
