Ludhiana is perhaps the only big city in India without any architecture college within the city limits. All more than 100 big cities in India are having minimum one architecture college. Ludhiana is second largest known city in north India after Delhi without any degree college or diploma college so far even after more than 70 years of independence.
It's an excellent news for architects fraternity that union government is going to set up two new full-fledged schools of planning and architecture. It's also excellent that 18 new SPA's will be established in IIT's and NIT's as autonomous schools. Out of 368 Architecture colleges in India , Punjab has 17 and there is no architecture college in Ludhiana.

• It is also very good news that construction contract income will be computed on percentage completion method as per ICDS.
• Hope Ludhiana airport will be connected across the country to boost low cost flying.
• Under Swatch Bharat mission Government plans to construct 2 crore more toilets. Hope Ludhiana/ Punjab will get more funds.
• 1 Crore houses to be built under Pradhan Mantri Awaz Yojna in rural areas. Hope Ludhiana/ Punjab will get more funds.
