Ludhiana News- 23 candidates file 31 nominations for UCPMA elections

Ludhiana, September 10, 2013: A meeting election committee was held on September 9 in the association office under the chairmanship of Kamalinder Kumar Singla, Presiding Officer and the members present were Rajan Gupta, Manjinder Singh Sachdeva and Ravi Mahajan.

According to Singla, the time to file nomination papers for all the eight office bearers of UCPMA was till 4 pm yesterday. “We have received 31 nominations in total up to 4 pm yesterday and the scrutiny was started   immediately after 4 pm”, he added.

All the 31 nomination papers were opened by the election committee and checked thoroughly and were found correct and accepted and signed, he said, adding no nomination paper was rejected.

He revealed that though total nomination papers were 31 but candidates were 23 as some of the candidates had submitted double nominations papers.

Single said the final list of the candidates was announced and had been pasted on the office notice board.

Nomination received for the UCPMA elections to be held on September 14.
