A delegation of Fedration of Industrial & Commercial Organisations (FICO)meets Dr Rishi Pal Singh, Deputy Excise & Taxation Commissioner, Ludhiana regarding hike in VAT return processing fee.
Ludhiana, October 7, 2013: A delegation of Fedration of Industrial & Commercial Organisations (FICO) under the presidentship of Gurmeet Singh Kular met Dr Rishi Pal Singh, Deputy Excise & Taxation Commissioner, Ludhiana regarding hike in VAT return processing fee.
The delegation said it is a huge burden on Industries because the annual VAT return fee is already on the very higher side as compared to Income Tax Department, only Rs 30 is charged by income Tax department for TDS & TCS returns. It requests to the government that it should not be more than Rs 50. The government should either roll back or charges as per IT department.
Further it was also discussed that huge amount of VAT refund is blocked with Department of Excise & Taxation but unfortunately Department of Excise & Taxation is neither releasing online nor by voucher.
The delegates also requested that the C-form should be given online as finalized by government, which is not being done.
