Ludhiana News- New Swan Group wins ACMA’s Prestigious Gold Award for “Quality & Productivity”

Ludhiana, September 5, 2013: Over the years, the ACMA Annual Awards have emerged as highly coveted recognitions of excellent performance in various fields of operation for the India auto-component industry. ACMA Awards process is well refined and honed continuously to make these awards more meaningful and reflective of true excellence. ACMA has introduced Award for excellence in Quality and Productivity to recognise outstanding achievements by member companies in the area of Quality and Productivity culture in an organization.  The awardees are selected by a panel of eminent jury member on pan India basis.

Upkar Singh Ahuja, Joint Secretary, Chamber of Industrial and Commercial Undertakings and Group Managing Director, New Swan Group, Ludhiana has achieved the rare distinction 3rd time in row for selection of New Swan Auto Components Private Limited as winner of ACMA’s Gold Award for Excellence in Quality & Productivity Performance in the SME Category for 2013-14.

Upkar Singh Ahuja alongwith Associate Vice President (Operations) Rajeev Sacher received this special recognition Award from Praful Patel (Minister of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises) during 53rd Annual ACMA Awards Ceremony held on Thursday, at Hotel Taj Palace, New Delhi. During this award distribution function; the other dignitaries present; were Surinder Kanwar, President, ACMA, Ajay Shriram, President – Designate, CII and Senior Managing Director and Chairman of DCM Shriram Consolidated, Vikram Kirloskar, President –  SIAM and Vice Chairman, Toyota Kirloskar, Harish Lakshman, Vice President, ACMA and Managing Director, Rane TRW Steering Systems Ltd.,

Inderjit Singh Pardhan, President, CICU and Ex-Chairman, Small Scale Industry Development Board, Punjab heartily congratulated him and appreciated his support, role and contribution to SME Sector.
