Ludhiana News/Badal expresses grief over death of noted industrialist Darshan Singh Bedi

Ludhiana, December13, 2013: City-based noted industrialist Darshan Singh Bedi had died on December 6. He was the leader of sewing machine industry over the period and worked for its promotion for about four decades.
He had also been director and vice chairman of Ludhiana Central Cooperative Consumers Store way back in1970s.
Besides, he had been member to the high powered sales tax committee and zonal disputes settlement committee of PSEB in the past.
He was also associated to the Congress party. He had served the party for about five decades and remained on various posts from block president to state secretary. He had also worked for restoration of peace under the leadership of Congress leader Beant Singh during black era of terrorism.
His Antim Ardas and Bhog will be held at Gurdwara Kalgidhar on December 15 between 1 pm and 2-30 pm.
Meanwhile, the aggrieved family has received a fax message from Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal yesterday, in which Badal has expressed grief to the Bedi’s family.
