A team of doctors from DMCH, Ludhiana on Wednesday examines patients in a free medical health check-up and Blood Donation camp held at Chamber of Industries and Commercial Undertakings (CICU ) Hall, Focal Point, near BSNL Office, Ludhiana.
Ludhiana, November 13, 2013: A team of doctors from DMCH today examined patients in a free medical health check-up and Blood Donation camp held today at Chamber of Industries and Commercial Undertakings (CICU ) Hall, Focal Point, near BSNL Office, Ludhiana, from 10 am to 4 pm.
The camp was organised in collaboration with channel partners of Tata Steel Fairdeal Steels Pvt. Ltd. and Tata Steel Processing and Distribution Ltd.The doctors who participated in the camp were Dr Lalit Kumar and Dr Shallu Jain
People suffering from high blood pressure, diabetes etc. were invited to avail the benefits of the camp at free of cost and also encouraged people to volunteer for blood donation too as well. Mahavir, Director of Fairdeal Steels Pvt. Ltd. Informed that around 300 people came for health check-up and 100 donated blood. Neeraj Sharma, Branch Manager- Tata Steel Processing and Distribution Limited brought to the notice that medicines and several blood tests as per doctor’s prescription were provided free of cost. The organizers and the medicos, who participated in the camp, appealed to the industrial workers to shun smoking, drinking and chewing tobacco, which led to chronic ailments.
The similar camp is scheduled on 15th of November by another three Tata Steel’s esteemed Channel Partners, namely Punjab Agro Implement works, Sangeeta Steel and DV & Brothers.
