Ludhiana Police conducts mock drill to check response time in case of any emergency like situation
Drill held late last evening & was personally supervised by Commissioner of Police Naunihal Singh
Ludhiana, August 25, 2021: With an aim for inculcating sense of security amongst the Ludhiana residents and on the directions of Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana Naunihal Singh IPS, a mock drill was carried out by Ludhiana police late last evening. The mock drill was led by Commissioner of Police Ludhiana Naunihal Singh himself and monitored by Joint Commissioner of Police (City) Deepak Pareek and Joint Commissioner of Police (Rural) Dr Sachin Gupta.
Around 400 police personnel started the drill from Phase 1 Dugri market, reaching Daresi Ground and finally culminating at Railway Station Ludhiana.
Naunihal Singh informed that the main aim of the mock drill was to check the police response time in case of any emergency like situation. He said that 9 gazetted officers including ADCPs Dr Pragya Jain, Ashwini Gotyal and others, 24 SHOs, 14 unit incharges, PCR and traffic police personnel participated in the mock drill. He said that around 60 vehicles were used.
He said that the Ludhiana police is committed to ensure the safety and security of the Ludhiana residents.
