Ludhiana Rural Police arrest 7 accused with arms and ammunition

Ludhiana, March 1, 2018: While addressing the press, Sh.Surjeet Singh, SSP, Ludhiana (Rural) stated that Inspector Harjinder Singh SHO Police Station Sudhar alongwith police party, were present at bridge drain on the link road Aitiana to Rajoana Kalan regarding search of bad elements.
SHO Sudhar received a secret information that Arashdeep Singh alias Bittu r/o Mehal Kalan District Barnala, Jaskanwar Singh alias Rinky r/o Mehal Kalan District Barnala, Gurbakash Singh alias Binder r/o Barnala, Gurpreet Singh alias Gogi r/o Badhani Khurd District Moga, Beant Singh r/o Dala District Moga, Sahib Singh r/o Near Jalwana Road, Kasba Bharal, Gurshanjot Singh alias Dullah r/o Mehal Kalan District Barnala sitting near Sukhman Marriage Palace of Village Rajoana Kalan having sophisticated arms are planning for decoity, theft at ATM or Banks.
On this information, case FIR (No.38 dated 28-02-2018 u/s 399, 402 IPC, 25, 54, 59 Arms Act) was registered at Police Station Sudhar and raid was conducted to arrest the accused and the following accused were arrested:
• Arashdeep Singh alias Bittu r/o Mehal Kalan District Barnala.
• Jaskanwar Singh alias Rinky r/o Mehal Kalan District Barnala.
• Gurbakash Singh alias Binder r/o Barnala.
• Gurpreet Singh alias Garry r/o Badhani Khurd District Moga.
• Beant Singh r/o Dala District Moga.
• Sahib Singh r/o Near Jalwana Road, Kasba Bharal.
• Gursharanjot Singh alias Dullah r/o Mehal Kalan District Barnala.
It was further told that Arashdeep Singh alias Bittu r/o Mehal Kalan District Barnala is on bail since two and a half month and already involved in many unlawful activities and 28 cases registered against him in separate Police Stations regarding attempt to murder, decoity, gangster activities, snatching, theft and under Arms Act.
Also, 7 cases of snatching, theft and Arms Act already registered against Gurpreet Singh alias Garry r/o Badhani Khurd District Moga, 3 cases of theft and Arms Act already registered against Beant Singh r/o Dala District Moga and 1 cases already registered against Jaskanwar Singh alias Rinky r/o Mehal Kalan District Barnala.
On interrogation of the above said accused, one Scorpio white color and total 7 weapons and 43 cartridges, were recovered.
With arrest of the accused, the police have prevented major incidents/dacoity.
