Further tightening its noose around gangsters and criminal elements, the Ludhiana Rural Police on directives of Punjab Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav on Saturday conducted a synergised cordoned search and combing operation in the villages falling under its police jurisdiction.
Jagraon (Ludhiana), July 9, 2022: Further tightening its noose around gangsters and criminal elements, the Ludhiana Rural Police on directives of Punjab Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav on Saturday conducted a synergised cordoned search and combing operation in the villages falling under its police jurisdiction.
The targeted search carried out by the special team of officers constituted for this purpose was part of the offensive launched by Punjab Police to weed out gangsterism and drug menace from the face of our state, the Senior Superintendent of Police Ludhiana Rural Deepak Hillori who led the drive disclosed here after the conclusion of the operation.
Revealing futher, Hillori said villages Malsiha Bajan and Basti Khaulean Vala Pull falling under the Sidhwan Bet Police Station in Sub Division Jagraon were sanitised by team of 225 police personnel in the six hour operation concluding at 3 pm.
DIG Nilambri Jagdale , Cyber Crime Punjab was personally present and was the supervisory incharge for this operation.
The special team which conducted the drive included 3 SP Rank Officers, 6 Deputy Superintendents of Police along with force of 210 police personnel.
As many as 450 houses were checked besides 235 vehicles, and no recovery of any objectionable material was made during this search which will be done again in near future to ensure the element of surprise, the SSP added.
