LUDHIANA RURAL POLICE RECOVERS 103 GMS HEROIN FROM 2 PERSONS

IN 2 OTHER CASES, POPPY HUSK & INTOXICANT TABLETS ALSO RECOVERED

Ludhiana, June 12, 2019: Mr Varinder Singh Brar PPS, Senior Superintendent of Police, Ludhiana (Rural) told media persons, to guide the youth regarding ill effects of intoxicants and to apprehend the smugglers, a special campaign has been started. During this campaign as per the directions of Mr Rupinder Kumar Bhardhwaj SP/Investigation Ludhiana (Rural) and under the supervision of Mr Dilbag Singh DSP/ Major Crime, Ludhiana (Rural) and Inspector Navdeep Singh I/C Narcotic Cell, Ludhiana (Rural) along with Police Party led by ASI Rajinderpal Singh was on patrolling in connection with checking of bad elements on the road going from village Salempura, recovered 103 gram heroine from Ajaib Singh s/o Balwant Singh r/o Khurshidpura and Sukhdev Singh @ Sodhi s/o Puran Singh r/o ward no. 15, new Mohhalla Mukandpuri along with motorcycle number PB 10 EK 6788. In this regard a case FIR No. 99 dated 11.06.2019 u/s 21/25/61/85 NDPS Act. PS Sidhwan Bet has been registered against them. Apart from this, ASI Gursewak Singh CIA Staff Jagraon along with police party also recovered 6 k.g. poppy husk from Gursewak Singh @ Sekha s/o Harpal Singh r/o Jassowal from pul sua village Jassowal.

Similarly ASI Harmesh Kumar I/C PP Kaunke Kalan arrested the accused Dharam Singh s/o Hakam Singh r/o Patti Badal Kaunke Kalan and recovered 04 strips on intoxicant tablets make Clovidol 100SR and 16 strips of intoxicant tablets make Clovidol SR. In this regard a case FIR no. 53 dated 11.06.2019 u/s 22/61/85 NDPS Act. PS Sadar Jagraon. The accused are being interrogated after availing the police remand from the Ld. Court.
