Ludhiana Sanskriti Samagam to stage "My Wife's 8th Vachan" on June 25

Ludhiana, June 22, 2023: Ludhiana Sanskriti Samagam (LSS) is staging a play "My Wife's 8th Vachan" on June 25 at 7:30 pm at Guru Nanak Bhawan, Ludhiana.

Giving more information in this regard, LSS General Secretary SK Rai, Vice President Principal Balmeet Kaur, Secretary Sanjay Gupta and Program Secretary Ashim Gupta told at a press conference here today that the drama to be staged would be a great comedy show. The duration of this play will be 90 minutes without any interval.

Giving more details about the play, they said that marriage is a mystery that has deepened with each effort of solving it. This play, at most, is another ambitious (read failed) attempt in doing so.  The play characters Madhur and Mahak are no different from any married couple who have co-existed in each other’s lives for fifteen years and have been quarrelling for reasons unknown.

They said that everyone must have heard about the seven vows at the time of marriage. But what is this eighth watch, it can be known only by watching the drama. They said that it is necessary to keep suspense about the eighth verse, otherwise there will be no interest in the drama.  They said that the script and staging of the play is so good that the audience will be entertained and enthralled by the laugh-out-loud comedy. This Hindi comedy drama is being performed all over India and is one of the highly acclaimed dramas.

They said with the support of likeminded people of Ludhiana, LSS has been moved from strength to strength for the last 25 years.  LSS aims to serve its members by fostering a spirit of camaraderie and respect for the arts.  LSS has now built a remarkable community of like minded individuals who appreciate various forms of performing arts.  

Further, they said their members are active, engaged, responsible and environmentally conscious. Now it is time to explore and encourage the young members to be involved in our creative pursuits.   In the past few months LSS have added a significant number of young members to our decision making team and our various committees, mirroring the practices of many successful organisations.

The event being held in Ludhiana is co-sponsored by Highway Industries, Prime Steel Processors, Ludhiana Beverages Private Limited (Coca Cola) and Findoc.
