LUDHIANA SCHOOL SHINES in Math E Magician exam organised by Brainex Education

Ludhiana, February 26, 2013: Brainex Education, an educational organisation engaged in training students by use of the time tested Vedic mathematics technique, under its MAX Maths programme,recently organised  a ‘Maths Olympiad’ called ‘Math-e-Magician’ across Chandigarh, Punjab, Haryana and Himachal.

The examination which was organised over two rounds saw participation of 6,500 students from different schools of the region, in Categories A, B, C, D and E. In the final round (Round 2) of the exam, 570 students competed. The highlight of Math E Magician was a sterling performance by DAV Public School, Ludhiana which won 23 prizes in all.

In category A (Class I and II) Pankti Shah of Strawberry Fields World School came first.

The second prize went to Jeevanjot Singh of Sacred Soul School, Gharuan.

Rajas Jethi of D.A.V Public School, Ludhiana won third position.

In category B(Class III and IV) Madhur Aggarwal of D.A.V Public School,Ludhiana was first and Nitesh Kaushal again of D.A.V Public School,Ludhiana came second.

In Category C (Class V and VI)Ashutosh Singla of Bhawan Vidyalaya, Chandigarh came first  and Mehak Virmani, Holy Angels School, Rajpura was second. Swapnil Yadav of D.A.V Public School was third.

In Category D (Class VII and VIII) Sonakshi Agarwal, Carmel Convent School, Chandigarh was first and Angel Rajput, Saupins School, Chandigarh was second. In Category E (Class IX andX) Saloni Sharma, GMSSS-35, Chandigarh was first, and Kunal Taneja of DAV Sr Sec School, Patiala came second. While the topper will get a Mini Laptop, the first runner up, second runner up and third runner up will get a tablet, digital camera and mobile phone respectively. Wrist watches will be given to those coming 5th -15th in each category.

 According to Nitya Nand Sharma, a Vedic Mathematics expert and one of the Directors of Brainex Education, “The organisation’s belief is that with the right use of the ancient Indian technique of Vedic Mathematics,learning can be enhanced dramatically by cutting down calculation time and making the subject a lot more fun. We are engaged in intensive research on Vedic Maths.”

 Math E Magician is organised every year by Brainex Education to measure mental ability and Mathematics skills of students.
