Ludhiana to have 100 feet high tricolour: Bharat Bhushan Ashu
Installation work already started; work expected to be completed within next few days
Ludhiana, December 6, 2021: For inculcating a sense of national integration amongst our fellow Ludhianvis, the city will soon have a 100-feet high national flag. Being installed with the efforts of Punjab Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu, the tricolour is being installed on Jagraon Bridge, near the statues of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Shaheed Rajguru and Shaheed Sukhdev.
Bharat Bhushan Ashu informed that the 100 feet high tricolour would not only be installed, but special LED lights would be used to highlight it, along with the beautification of the entire area. He assured that all work regarding this would be completed in next few days time.
He informed that the dimensions of the flag would be 20 ft x 30 ft and special electrical motor would be installed for hoisting the tricolour. He said that once completed, our national flag would also be visible from a long distance.
Besides, special LED lights would also be used to highlight the statues of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Shaheed Rajguru and Shaheed Sukhdev. He said that the Ludhiana Smart City Ltd is also in the process of installing special LED lights on the statues of all freedom fighters and eminent personalities in Ludhiana city.
