Punjab State Hockey League for Women being played at Prithipal Singh Hockey Stadium, Punjab Agriculture University, Ludhiana on Sunday.
Ludhiana, September 29, 2013: Jalandhar topped the Punjab State Hockey League for Women as it played 2-2 draw with Bathinda, at Prithipal Singh Hockey Stadium, Punjab Agriculture University, here on Sunday.
Patiala emerged second decided on goal basis. Bathinda remained third in Above 15 Group as stated by Kartar Singh Sehamby, District Sports Officer, Ludhiana.
In group under – 15 Mukatsar defeated Tarn Taran by 6-1 goals where as Bathinda remained third by defeating Gurdaspur 2-0. Both field goals scored by Gagandeep Kaur of Bathinda.
Rupinder Singh, Assistant Director Sports, Punjab Sports Department was the Chief Guest and gave away prize to the winners.
The League was organised by Punjab Sports Department and it is a regular feature every year.
The winning and Runners up teams got a superior hockey each player and a trophy.
