Ludhiana, March 15, 2025: At a gathering of industry stalwarts on Saturday, unanimous support was voiced for MP Sanjeev Arora as the Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) candidate for the upcoming Ludhiana (West) assembly byelection.

The meeting, organized by prominent industrialist Rajesh Aggarwal, saw key industry figures endorsing Arora’s candidature. In his address, Aggarwal expressed full confidence in Arora, urging everyone to work collectively toward his victory. “We must put in our efforts to ensure Arora wins this election,” he said, lauding Arora’s integrity and long-standing commitment to the city.

Harsimerjit Singh Lucky, President of the United Cycles Parts and Manufacturers Association (UCPMA), praised Arora’s dedication to selfless public service, particularly his contributions to Ludhiana’s industrial sector. He highlighted Arora’s proactive approach as an MP, noting that the city has witnessed significant development under his leadership.

Lucky further credited Arora for resolving key industrial issues, including the implementation of the One-Time Settlement (OTS) scheme, and addressing concerns related to Focal Point and Dhandari Kalan. “What stands out is his responsiveness—he listens and acts swiftly. I have rarely seen such a committed leader,” he added.

Former IAS officer Gurloveleen Singh Sidhu echoed these sentiments, emphasizing Arora’s clean image and problem-solving approach. “The public already perceives him as a dedicated, responsible, and result-oriented leader. His efforts have brought real change to the industry and the city,” Sidhu stated.

Sidhu called upon everyone to rally behind Arora for a decisive victory.

Addressing the gathering, Arora detailed the developmental projects undertaken during his tenure as MP, including roads in Focal Points, Upgradation of Civil Hospital and ESI Hospital, OTS Scheme for the Industry, elevated road etc and ongoing works including 4 bridges on Sidhwan canal, elevated road, cycle track, Halwara Airport, city road repairs, installation of new power transformers, two VUPs in city and enhanced street lighting. He urged voters to support him in his mission to transform Ludhiana into a model city.
