Lyallpur Khalsa College and Heartfulness Educational Trust sign MoU to promote Mental Wellness
A memorandum of understanding was signed between Lyallpur Khalsa College (LKC), one of the premiere institutes of North India, and Heartfulness Educational Trust (HET).
Jalandhar, June 18, 2022: A memorandum of understanding was signed between Lyallpur Khalsa College (LKC), one of the premiere institutes of North India, and Heartfulness Educational Trust (HET). The MoU was signed by Dr Gurpinder Singh Samra, Principal LKC and Prof Dr OP Katare, Practitioner and Trainer, HET.
The MoU is aimed to promote mental well being learning through meditation sessions. Dr Samra, on this occasion, said, "Value addition through meditation is the need of the hour when things are moving at very fast pace. Through meditation, students and faculty can de-stress themselves which will bring fruitful results later on." HET representative Dr Katare from Department of Pharamceuticals, Punjab University, Chandigarh added, "The heartfulness focuses on self motivation to achieve the state of higher consciousness."
Dr Samra, after signing MoU, informed that the MoU includes conducting awareness sessions and training programs for faculty, staff and students. HET will also conduct orientation session when required. The mentors/trainers to conduct sessions will be provided by HET.
Prof Satpal Singh, NSS Chief Program Officer, from college and Swarcha Mehra from local zonal incharge of HET were given the duty of coordination between both the institutions.
Prof. Satpal Singh said that value addition resulting from this MoU will assist volunteer, students and staff to achieve higher targets.
On this occasion, Mehra, an industrialist as well as practitioner of HET, was also present.
