Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar conducted Guru Nanak Dev University Inter-college Hockey championship at Burlton Park Olympian Surjit Hockey Stadium, Jalandhar from 14th November to 16th November.

Final match was played among DAV College, Jalandhar and Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar Arjuna awardee Shri Surinder Sodhi, who won Gold medal in Moscow Olympics in 1980 graced the function as Chief Guest on the final day of tournament.
Other prominent guest were Olympian Rajinder Singh, Olympian Sanjeev Kumar, Dr. Kanwar Mandeep Singh Dhillon (Director Sports at Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar), Dr. Jaspal Singh (Principal, Lyallpur Khalsa College), Prof Kirpal Singh Matharu, Dr Manu Sood (HOD Sports, DAV College), Dr Simranjeet Singh Bains (Dean Sports, Lyallpur Khalsa College), Jagdev Singh (University Hockey Coach) and international Hockey player Ripudaman Kumar Singh.
The championship trophy was won by DAV College, Jalandhar and Lyallpur Khalsa College secured the second position. Khalsa College, Kartarpur bagged the third position.
Avtar Singh and Yudhveer Singh coached the DAV College team and Davinderpal served as the coach for the Lyallpur Khalsa College team.
