In the month of December, four NSS volunteers of the college attended NSS Adventure Camp at Mcleodganj, two participated in National Integration Camps at Patna, Bihar and nine volunteers were part of Delhi Darshan.
Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh congratulated the volunteers and advised them to spread the values and information learnt during these camps. He opined that these camps and visits of state and national repute offer various platforms to students to explore their inner strengths, learn valuable information about other states and learn life skills. He appreciated the female volunteers who came forward and participated in these camps.
Chief Program officer Prof. Satpal Singh informed that volunteers Navneet, Sakshi, Nandini and Hardeep attended Adventure camp at Regional Mountraining Centre, Mcleodganj where they participated in artificial rock climbing, river crossing, zoomering, trekking, rappelling etc. In addition, Balpreet Kaur and Jasmine represented Guru Nanak Dev University Amritsar at National Integration Camp at Patna. Moreover, Kaashika, Jasmine, Sirsa, Ravneet, Mamta, Muskan, Anjali, Simranjot and Rashmi attended Delhi Darshan under Youth Services, Govt. of Punjab. Volunteers thanked the College Governing Council, Principal, State NSS Cell, Chandigarh and Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports for providing such opportunities.
