Lyallpur Khalsa College Holds Webinar on 'Internet of Things and Big Data'
Jalandhar, November 10, 2021: Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar's P.G. Department of Computer Science and IT conducted a webinar on ‘Internet of Things and Big Data’ to enhance the technical understanding and skills of the students. On this occasion, Dr. Parminder Kaur, Head, Department of Computer Science, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar was the keynote speaker. The keynote speaker was formally welcomed by the Principal of the College Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra. On this occasion, Dr. Samra said that the importance of computer and internet has increased a lot nowadays. There is no area that is untouched by it. He added that there are immense career opportunities in this field. on the need and use of big data, Dr. Parminder Kaur emphasised the need and use of big data and asserted its utility as is invaluable in research to guide our teachers and students. "Our teachers need to do more research," she said. The head of the computer department of the college, Dr. Manohar Singh introduced the subject to the audience. This webinar was moderated by Dr. Daljit Kaur and technically conducted by Prof. Navneet Kaur. The webinar speakers deliberated on the need and use of big data, career opportunities in the Internet of Things. More than 70 students participated in this webinar. Certificates were awarded to the students who participated in this webinar. On this occasion Prof. Sanjeev Anand, Prof. Sandeep Bassi, Prof. Mandeep Singh, Prof. Sandeep Singh, Prof. Manpreet Singh Lehal, Prof. Gagandeep Singh, Prof. Ratnakar Mann were also present.
