Lyallpur Khalsa College hosted PLASMA-2024
Jalandhar, March 5, 2024: P.G. Department of Computer Science & IT of Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar organized Plasma 2024 which is 23rd edition of this event. The day was filled with excitement, joy, music, enthusiasm, laughter and happiness.
Plasma is an Annual Inter College event in which multitude of events are contested among the best of the participants in the region. Events like Tech GD, Ad mad Show, Hands on Keyboard, Test Your Technical Skills, Logic Whirlpool, Net Savvy, Idea Snapshots, IT Quiz online, IT in Colors, Web Portal Development, RJying, Logo Designing, Pixel Plus were conducted during the event. Prof. Sanjeev Kumar Anand, Head Department of Computer Science & IT informed that 293 Students participated from 17 colleges in total 13 events. With the budding enthusiasm of organizing team and participants this edition of Plasma proved to be the biggest so far.
The inauguration of event started by kindling the lamp by dignitaries Jaspal Singh Waraich, Joint Secretary, Governing Council, Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh and Chief Guest of the function Anuj Ahuja, An alumnus of the department and Senior Manager, Cyber Security, Deloitte, Gurugram, Prof. Sanjeev Kumar Anand, Head Department of Computer Science & IT and other senior staff members. Jaspal Singh Waraich declared the Plasma-2024 open. In his address Anuj Ahuja stressed on the importance of technological education in modern time and appreciated the efforts made by the college and the department towards quality education. He also focused on the importance of continuous learning. Welcoming the chief guest, the college Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh highlighted the key achievements of the college in IT education and said that these events aim to provide a podium to students to showcase their talent. He said that students should never stop learning and make efforts for continuous development for a better future.
On this occasion Dept of CS & IT added a more feather to its cap by launching ‘LKC Newsletter’ which is the maiden edition of Monthly Newsletter to provide the opportunity to Journalism Students.
Dr. Jaspal Singh, Principal and Prof. Sanjeev Kumar Anand, HOD gave away prizes to the winner candidates. Prof. Sanjeev Kumar Anand congratulated the prize winners and he said that technical education sector had a great scope for success and rich potential for employability. The Overall Trophy in this event was bagged by the Lyallpur Khalsa college, Jalandhar with 28 points. Second position scored by KMV, Jalandhar and Lyallpur Khalsa College of Engineering, Jalandhar with 17 points jointly and third position was awarded to Lyallpur Khalsa College Kapurthala with 16 points.
The occasion was witnessed by the presence of Prof. Sandeep Bassi, Prof. Mandeep Singh Bhatia, Dr. Manpreet Singh Lehal, Dr. Sandeep Singh, Prof Navneet Kaur and the students and the staff of the Department. The stage was managed by Dr Daljit kaur. Prof. Sandeep Bassi presented the vote of thanks to audience.
