Lyallpur Khalsa College Organises Seminar on Software Development Processes

Jalandhar, April 18, 2015: Students of the Computer department here at Lyallpur Khalsa College were given detailed information on Software Development Processes in a seminar held on the same theme.  In the seminar exclusively held for B.Voc (Software Development) and B.Voc Printing Technology students, the chief speaker Dr Parminder Kaur from Department of Computer Science and Engineering, GNDU Amritasr discussed different software processes and software models, and informed students about Agile Development Methodologies. Welcoming the speaker, the college Principal Dr. G.S. Samra said that the Software Development and Printing Technology were two emerging areas with a lot of career opportunities worldwide and this was the reason the college had started two graduation programmes in these fields , with UGC  assistance. He also said that college would organize more of such seminars so that the students could have a firsthand understanding of things. The vote of thanks on the occasion was presented by Prof Manohar Singh, the head of the Computer Science and IT department of the college.
