Lyallpur Khalsa College organizes Blood Donation Camp

Jalandhar, October 8, 2022: N.S.S. Units and Red Ribbon Club of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar organize One Day Blood Donation Camp in collaboration with Blood Bank, Civil Hospital, Jalandhar.
Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra inaugurated the camp with a message that blood donation in real terms is the true service to humanity. He added that one of the major reasons of the death of the victims of road accidents is non- availability of blood during treatment. He motivated and appreciated the students who came to donate blood.
Dr. Navneet Kaur from Blood Bank Civil Hospital, Jalandhar in her brief address cleared the misconceptions related to blood donation. She appreciated the enthusiasm of volunteers and staff members. An exhibition of posters made by Red Ribbon Club members and NSS Volunteers was also organized in which Sapna, Tahira and Simran were declared 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively.
NSS Program Officer & LKC Red Ribbon Club in-charge Satpal Singh informed that total 42 students and staff registered for this good cause. Donors were given certificates of appreciation.
Prof. Satpal Singh thanked President, Governing Council, Principal Dr. GS Samra and staff of Blood Bank Civil hospital for their support to organize this camp.
During this event, Prof Jaswinder Kaur, Prof. Gagandeep Kaur, Prof. Amandeep Kaur, Prof. Navneet Arora, Staff Nurse Gagandeep Kaur and MLT staff were present.
