Lyallpur Khalsa College organizes Inter-Staff Volleyball League-2025

A Volleyball League-2025 was organized at Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar by the Department of Physical Education and Sports in which staff of the college participated enthusiastically. Three teams LKC Warriors, LKC Fighters and LKC Spartans were formed in this league tournament which included members of both teaching and non teaching faculty.

Jalandhar, March 15, 2025: A Volleyball League-2025 was organized at Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar by the Department of Physical Education and Sports in which staff of the college participated enthusiastically. Three teams LKC Warriors, LKC Fighters and LKC Spartans were formed in this league tournament which included members of both teaching and non teaching faculty.

At the beginning, the players were introduced to Principal Dr. Suman Chopra. Principal advised the players to play with full sportsmanship and stated that these matches between staff promote harmony and are good for mental well being of staff.  Captain of LKC Warriors was Dr. Dinkar Sharma, Dr. Palwinder Singh was the captain of LKC Fighters while Captain of LKC Spartans was Prof. Ajay Kumar and team members Dr. Harjinder Singh Sekhon, Dr. Arun Dev Sharma, Dr. Gurpreet Singh Prof. Onkar, Surinder Kumar (PA), Gopi Chand, Dr. Ajitpal Singh, Prof. Manish Goel, Dr. Surbjit Singh Prof. Simranjeet Singh Prof. Manvir Pal Prof. Vineet Gupta, Sunil Kumar, Dr. Manpreet Singh Lehal, Dr. Karanbir Singh, Prof. Satpal Singh, Dr. Gobind Ram, Prof. Onkar Singh and Prof. Bhagwat respectively.

In this league, each team played two matches. At last, LKC Warriors stood first, LKC Spartans bagged second and LKC Fighters took third position. Principal Dr. Suman Chopra congratulated all the participants.

Principal Dr. Suman Chopra along with Dr. Gagandeep Kaur, Prof. Navdeep Kaur and Dr. S.S. Bains were present at the prize distribution ceremony.

Prof. Sanjeev Kumar Anand, Dr. Surinderpal Mand and Dr. Daljit Kaur played the role of commentators during the match.

While students Talib Bashir Malik and Jagdeep Singh acted as referees and student Sahil Bashir Malik maintained the scoreboard.

The staff members Jagdish Singh, Tirth Ram and Akash of the Department of Physical Education and Sports also contributed in the successful organization of the event. Apart from the heads of various departments, teaching and non-teaching staff members and a large number of students were also present on this occasion.
