Lyallpur Khalsa College Organizes One Day Blood Donation Camp
NSS Unit & Red Ribbon Club of Lyallpur Khalsa College in collaboration with Blood Bank, Civil Hospital, Jalandhar, Social Sensitization Cell, NGO Dishadeep and Aristotle Society of Life Sciences organized ‘One Day Blood Donation Camp’ in the college campus.

Jalandhar, March 27, 2025: NSS Unit & Red Ribbon Club of Lyallpur Khalsa College in collaboration with Blood Bank, Civil Hospital, Jalandhar, Social Sensitization Cell, NGO Dishadeep and Aristotle Society of Life Sciences organized ‘One Day Blood Donation Camp’ in the college campus.
Principal Dr. Suman Chopra inaugurated the camp and stated that there are only 8 donors per thousand people in India which is very less. Due to road accidents, thalassemia and other medical conditions patients requiring blood have increased in the last decade. She added that blood donation is the supreme service to humanity and we must come forward to donate blood. We can save three lives with one unit of blood. NSS Chief Program officer Prof Satpal Singh said that NSS volunteers held placards to motivate the students to donate blood. He informed that a total 52 units of blood were collected. During this camp, Prof. Palwinder Singh, Prof. Harjinder Singh Sekhon, Prof. Kranbir Singh, Prof. Harshveer Arora, Prof. Sonu Gupta, Prof. Preeti and Mr. Harjit from non teaching also donated blood. Dr. Gurpinder Kaur and her staff from Civil Hospital, Jalandhar monitored the whole camp. The event was witnessed by Vice Principal Prof. Navdeep Kaur, Prof. Gagandeep Kaur, Prof. Amita Shahid, Prof. Upma Arora, Prof. Surbjit Singh, Prof. Amandeep Kaur, Prof. Kuldip Sodhi, NGO Dishadeep S. M. Singh, Captain Jaswinder Singh, Mr. Surinder Sharma and NSS volunteers.
