Lyallpur Khalsa College organizes special lecture on “Literary Composition Process and Journalism”

Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar continuously strives for the all-round development of students. Accordingly, the Computer Science & IT department of the college organized a special lecture on the “Literary Composition Process and Journalism” for the students of Journalism and Mass Communication and students of Punjabi Department.  Sukhwinder Singh Chohla journalist and poet joined as the main speaker. While Ravinder Singh Sehra, poet from America joined as a special guest.

Jalandhar, March 19, 2024: Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar continuously strives for the all-round development of students. Accordingly, the Computer Science & IT department of the college organized a special lecture on the “Literary Composition Process and Journalism” for the students of Journalism and Mass Communication and students of Punjabi Department. 
Sukhwinder Singh Chohla journalist and poet joined as the main speaker. While Ravinder Singh Sehra, poet from America joined as a special guest. 

Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh welcomed the two personalities by giving them bouquets and badges of honour. Speaking on this occasion, he said that organizing this event is a great initiative for the students of Journalism and Mass Communication. He added that journalism and literature have a very close relationship. He added that journalists can play a big role in the overall development of the society and reporting injustice. He inspired the students to do honest and fearless journalism. 

The main speaker Sukhwinder Singh Chohla shared his journalistic experiences in his lecture. Information about relationship of journalism with literature was given and the students were introduced to the nuances of journalism. 

Eminent poet, Ravinder Singh Sehra, described his literary journey and made the environment very sober through his poems 'Dhee' and 'Palestine Girl's Chappal'. After that, both personalities answered the questions of the students. 

Dr. Gopal Singh Buttar, former HOD Punjabi, specially attended the event and shared his experience on the above topic. At the end of the event, Prof. Sanjeev Kumar Anand HOD Computer Science & IT thanked everyone. 

In addition to Dr. Surinderpal Mand, Head, department of Punjabi, Prof. Preeti handled the stage during the event. 
On this occasion, Prof. Kuldip Sodhi, Prof. Balraj Singh, teachers of different departments and students were also present.
