The P.G. Department of Computer Science & IT at Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar, successfully organized Plasma 2025, an exciting and highly anticipated annual inter-college event.

Jalandhar, March 10, 2025: The P.G. Department of Computer Science & IT at Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar, successfully organized Plasma 2025, an exciting and highly anticipated annual inter-college event.
This year’s edition showcased the dynamic energy and competitive spirit of students from various colleges. Plasma 2025 featured 13 diverse and engaging events, where top participants competed across a range of categories including Tech GD, Ad Mad Show, Hands on Keyboard, Test Your Technical Skills, Logic Whirlpool, Net Savvy, Idea Snapshots, IT Quiz Online, IT in Colors, Web Portal Development, RJying, Logo Designing, and Pixel Plus. Around 250 students from 15 different colleges participated in the event, making it a notable occasion in the college’s academic calendar. The event was inaugurated with a formal ceremony, where Mr.Tapan Bhanot, Deputy Director, Land Records, Punjab, had the honour of lighting the ceremonial lamp and officially declaring Plasma 2025 open. In his address, Bhanot emphasized the critical importance of technological education and the need for continuous learning in the rapidly advancing digital landscape.
The event was graced by Dr. Suman Chopra, Principal of Lyallpur Khalsa College, Prof. Navdeep Kaur, Vice Principal, and Heads of the different departments and faculty members of the college. Dr. Suman Chopra, Principal of Lyallpur Khalsa College, welcomed the Chief Guest and lauded the college’s achievements in the field of IT education. She opined that events like Plasma 2025 offer students a unique platform to showcase their talents and foster both personal and professional growth. Prof. Sanjeev Kumar Anand, Head of the Department, highlighted the significant role of such events in nurturing both technical and soft skills among students, which are essential for their success in the evolving job market. He expressed his enthusiasm for seeing students engage in healthy competition while also enhancing their capabilities. The event culminated with an awards ceremony, where winners were recognized for their outstanding performances.
The Chief Guest for the valedictory session was Rajesh Sharma, System Manager, Municipal Corporation, Jalandhar and the Guest of honour was Vivek Bhagat, an alumnus of the college. They presented the prizes along with college Principal Dr. Suman Chopra, Head of the department Prof. Sanjeev Kumar Anand. The coveted Overall Trophy of Plasma 2025 was awarded to Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar. APJ Institute of Management and Engineering was the first runner-up and KMV Jalandhar was the second runner-up.
The event was coordinated by Prof. Sandeep Bassi, with significant contributions from faculty members including Prof. Mandeep Singh Bhatia, Dr. Sandeep Singh, Dr. Manpreet Singh Lehal, Prof. Ratnakar Mann, Dr.Daljit Kaur, Prof. Navneet Kaur, Prof. Rajat Kaur, Prof. Onkar, other teaching staff members and the technical and supporting staff. The stage management was efficiently handled by Dr. Daljit Kaur.
