Lyallpur Khalsa College Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra retires 

Jalandhar, February 8, 2023: Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra, Principal of Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar, a renowned institution in the field of education, retired from the post after giving his excellent services as a Principal for 10 years and as a teacher for 25 years at Lyallpur Khalsa College. He was given a formal farewell in an impressive function held at the college. 
Balbir Kaur, President Governing Council, Jaspal Singh Waraich, Joint Secretary, Jagdeep Singh Shergill, Member, Management Committee and Ajaypal Singh Dhillon, Member, Management Committee specially participated in the event. His wife Harkit Kaur Samra was honored with a bouquet and a badge of honor. 

Dr. Rashpal Singh Sandhu, Staff Secretary, gave information about the life and academic journey of Dr. Samra. He expressed his views regarding the hard work, dedication and commitment of Dr. Samra that gave a unique identity to the college in the field of academics, sports, literary research and cultural. 

Prof. Jasreen Kaur, Dean, Academic Affairs, reflected her views regarding the time spent with Principal Dr. Samra as a colleague and as a Principal. 

Principal Dr. Samra shared the bittersweet experiences of his 38 years of service in the field of education. He thanked the governing council, college staff and students for their cooperation in uplifting the college. He wished that the teachers achieve more in the field of academics and research. He said that the college has achieved this height by getting grants from UGC under DST in research. He said that the college has contributed to promote art and folk dance Bhangra. Under this two 'Lyallpur Khalsa College Bhangra World Cups' have also been organized. He asked the famous singer Sarabjit Cheema, who came especially on this occasion, to contribute as much as possible to organize the third 'Lyallpur Khalsa College Bhangra World Cup' at the college in September. 

The college presented a letter of appreciation to the Principal Dr. Samra. 

Dr. Harjit Singh Head of Mathematics Department also shared his views on this occasion. Heads of all departments and staff members were also present on this occasion.
