Lyallpur Khalsa College Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh retired after excellent service

Dr. Jaspal Singh, Principal of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar, a renowned educational institution of North India, retired from the post after providing his excellent services as Principal at Lyallpur Khalsa College. He was formally bid farewell in an impressive function held at the college.

Jalandhar, February 8, 2025: Dr. Jaspal Singh, Principal of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar, a renowned educational institution of North India, retired from the post after providing his excellent services as Principal at Lyallpur Khalsa College. He was formally bid farewell in an impressive function held at the college. 

Prabhpal Singh Pannu, Member Managing Committee presided over the function. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh was honoured by Prabhpal Singh Pannu and Principal Dr. Suman Chopra with a bouquet and a memento. 

Dr. Rashpal Singh Sandhu, Staff Secretary, gave information about the life and academic journey of Dr. Jaspal Singh. He expressed his views on the hard work, dedication and commitment of Dr. Jaspal Singh to give a distinctive identity to the college in the fields of academics, sports, literary research and culture. 

Principal Dr. Suman Chopra shared her thoughts on the time she spent with Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh as a colleague and as a principal. She added that Dr. Jaspal Singh worked tirelessly to take the college to greater heights due to his far-sighted thinking and talent. She wished Dr. Jaspal Singh a healthy life and family happiness after retirement. 

It is worth mentioning that Dr. Jaspal Singh started his service as Professor and Head of the Department of Sports & Physical Education in Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar from 1998. During his 22 years of service, the college won the Guru Nanak Dev University General Championship Trophy 18 times, which is a record in itself. 

Speaking on the occasion, Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh shared the bittersweet experiences of the services rendered. 

On this occasion, he specially thanked the Governing Council, college staff and students for their cooperation in elevating the college. He wished that the teachers achieve more in the field of academics and research. He said that the college has made its due contribution in the fields of arts and sports. 

During the event, a letter of appreciation was given to Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh. 

On this occasion, the heads of all the departments and staff members were also present.
