Lyallpur Khalsa College welcomes `Drug Free Punjab Cycle Yatra’ by NCC Cadets

15 NCC cadets under the leadership of Chief Officer Ranjit Singh and Girls Cadets Instructor Muskan reached Lyallpur Khalsa College as part of their 'Drug Free Punjab Cycle Yatra'. 

Lyallpur Khalsa College welcomes `Drug Free Punjab Cycle Yatra’ by NCC Cadets

Jalandhar, November 29, 2024: 15 NCC cadets under the leadership of Chief Officer Ranjit Singh and Girls Cadets Instructor Muskan reached Lyallpur Khalsa College as part of their 'Drug Free Punjab Cycle Yatra'. 

Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh welcomed them warmly. The Chief Officer said that the purpose of this cycle rally is to inspire the youth to stay away from drugs. In this rally, seven girls and eight boys are making the youth aware against drugs. Five soldiers of the Indian Army under the command of Subedar RD Singh and Havildar Jaswinder Singh are also a part of this cycle rally. They shared their travel experiences in the Principal's office. This journey has been started on 25 November from 23 Punjab NCC Battalion Ropar. This team has reached Jalandhar today via Patiala, Sangrur, Ludhiana. 

Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh appreciated the work of cadets and the management team terming them as source of inspiration for the youth of the college and Punjab. Describing these cadets as messengers of Punjab's youth against drug abuse, he said that such ventures infuse new energy in the youth. Through the cycle journey, these student cadets will convey their message to other students and in this way the message will reach every home. 

Principal said that the cadets of Lyallpur Khalsa College are part of 2 Punjab NCC Battalion. The accommodation of this team has been arranged in the college hostel and our institution is ready to contribute in every way in community work. 

NCC in-charge Dr. Karanbir Singh, Dr. Manpreet Singh Lahel and NSS program officer Satpal Singh were also present on this occasion.
