Lyallpur Khalsa College welcomes National awardee Maninderjit Singh in a grand manner
NSS volunteer Maninderjit Singh of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar is felicitated in a grand manner after reaching college. He was received at the gate by Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra and Program officer Prof. Satpal Singh and his NSS team. He was taken to Gurudwara Sahib in an open vehicle for taking blessings of Almighty. During the procession, NSS volunteers clapped for his marvelous achievement. After Ardas, he was given Siropa. The Heads of Dept. garlanded him while returning from Gurudwara Sahib. Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra termed it as the happiest moment of his life when Maninderjit was conferred National Award and the name of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar was being pronounced at Rashtarpati Bhawan. He added that persistent effort with honesty is the key to such high rated success. This award was the first time in the college and after 28 years in Guru Nanak Dev University affiliated colleges. Chief Program Officer Satpal Singh said that it was the passion and keenness of Maninderjit that he was able to achieve such glory. Maninderjit thanked President, Governing Council, Principal and the program officers of Lyallpur Khalsa College for their guidance and continuous support that a normal student is groomed in such a way that he/she can achieve success at national level. He promised that he will continue to work for the welfare of society. During the event, heads of departments and staff members were present.
